The activities of the foundation are creating of awareness about pain amongst medical and non medical people. The highlights includes organization of Global Updates on Pain (2000, 2003, 2006 and 2009); Pain Exhibition, Pain Awareness Program for lay people.

Pain is like epidemic which is mostly ignored by majority of population not only in India but also in the world.

Pain can lead to severe disability in an individual and in society by large. It can cause a severe social and economical impact. The physical and psychological suffering due to pain will lead to loss of million working hours, ultimately in to dent in economy.

Pain management is in the stage of infancy in India. As a matter of fact it has developed in to a specialty in western countries.
